Draper should once again be used in a variety of ways by the Red Wings in 2002-03. He'll play center or wing.
Assets
Is an excellent penalty-killer and tenacious forechecker. Brings energy to the lineup with every shift. Has decent offensive instincts and is a threat to score while short-handed.
Flaws
Doesn't put up enough numbers to remain on a scoring line over the long haul. Plays with reckless abandon, which tends to lead to injury.
Career potential
Draper plays anywhere the Wings need him and never complains. Having said that, he is likely to return to being one of the premier third-line centers in the game.
