Bruins Sink Sharks 5-2, Snap Loss Streak
December 24, 2002
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Curtis Joseph stopped 33 shots, and Kris Draper scored on a rebound with 4:27 remaining as Detroit beat Columbus.
The shutout was Joseph's third this season and the 39th of his career.
Brendan Shanahan dug the puck out from the left boards and flipped a wrist shot at Columbus goaltender Marc Denis to set up the goal.
Denis, who made 27 saves, blocked the shot but the rebound bounced directly to Draper.
Shanahan extended his points streak to six games. The Red Wings are unbeaten in their last five (3-0-2).
